When i saw this amazing feature image last night on Geekologie, i couldnt actually believe it was a real cake!! Look at the deatil on the Snake Cake! It’s an albino snakes body and scales! – Just amazing!!! Even the head has been created using fine details making it look so realistic!! The eyes the sculptured facial expressions… i am really impressed!! A company in England called North Star Cakes, based in Kent has made this globally popular albino snake cake for her daughters birthday.
What a fantastic cake this would make for a reptile loving person!!!
Look at this Snake Cake!
The lady named Francessca who has made this cake has clearly spent a lot of time paying close attention to fine details have a closer look here at the rest of the cake.
I love how the snake actually looks as if it has coiled itself tight together on the bark, the texture and lines bring this snake cake to life.
Even the bark looks realistic, and definatley adds to the whole impressive presentation of the snake.
The detail on the snakes head is also amazing, it looks as if it is about to pounce and retreve its prey!!
Finally You can see the yummy cake that lies beneath the snake
Inside the cake North Star Cakes states are:
“Delicious layers of Madagascan Vanilla Bean sponge, syrup, jam and buttercream, nothing remotely snakey!”
If you want to try and recreate this cake then you could make the cake by using a beautiful Victoria Sponge cake recipe. Victoria sponge cakes are super simple to make and are great to use in designs like this!! follow my recipe here.
Im guessing the texture of the scales were created using some form of impressions matt finished with a spray gun sprayed to look realistic
