Salted caramel cupcakes seem to be extremely popular lately; and I must admit after trying a range of cheesecakes, mousses and cakes I am not surprised why. The smooth sweet taste of caramel is complemented with a tang of salt.

Add in a bit of a nutty texture to the soft light fluffy sponge with some honey roasted cashews
If you dont want the nuts in the sponge ass a few into the buttercream by first blending them in to finer pieces. Once your happy stir in to the ready made buttercream with a large wooden spoon, let me know what you think
