The main ingredients of cupcakes spell the taste, the texture, and the consistency of your baked goodies. Of course, the proper tools and skills are going to complete all the requirements of cooking delightful cupcakes as well. Your artistic touch will be handy too.
The main cupcake ingredients would depend upon what type of cupcake you’ll be making,, flavored cupcakes would need  a certain set of ingredients to achieve the flavor that you want. For example, if your choice is chocolate cupcakes,  you’ll need cocoa for that. For lemon cupcakes, you need lemon extract, and so on. However, all cupcakes have the same base ingredients. The following ingredients listed are used for basic cupcake cooking. You are going to need all of the items in thee if you want to create the best cupcakes your taste buds can try.

Here are the necessary ingredients of a cupcake:

1. Flour

Flour is a major ingredient indeed. After all, most l baked goodies contain them. For a tray of 12 cupcakes, you make need only one to two cups of flour. Plain flour is required for cupcake baking.

2. Sugar

Sugar is of sheer importance as well. You can use ordinary table sugar or caster sugar for your cupcakes. As for the frosting or icing, confectioner’s sugar is used instead.

2. Baking powder

To ensure that your cupcake will rise, you ideally  have to use baking powder. In most cases, only a teaspoon is required, even less if you will be baking less than 12 cupcakes.

3. Butter

Butter is another staple to cupcake making. Most recipes call for unsalted butter. Others want them melted at room temperature. Even if the recipe didn’t indicate how the butter should be prepared, melted in room temperature is the ideal state for cupcakes
