Do you remember how your good old grandma bakes you cupcakes? Do you want to try duplicate what she did for you before to your kids now? If so, what you really need is a good homemade cupcake recipe.
These are the cupcake recipes that preserve that life-long goodness of home baked goodies that mothers and grandmothers learned from the previous generation. Continue the heritage with this recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • half cup milk

Procedure

Pre heat the oven to 350F. Line a muffin pan with cupcake sheets. Use a large bowl to whisk the flour, salt, and baking powder together. In another bowl, beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer until fluffy. Do so for 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce mixer speed and add in egg. Add the egg white next. Put in vanilla. Add in the flour to this mixture in three additions, alternating two additions of milk in between. Beat well until all ingredients combine. Pour the batter into the lined muffin pans. Bake cupcakes for 20 minutes or until cooked. Let cool. Add frosting on top. Whipped cream will do.
This is a very simple and very pleasant homemade vanilla cupcake recipe. It’s the same one your grandmother used to serve, although she may not be using electric mixers back then. But just the same, the essence of the fine flavors of her cooking will be replicated in this fairly simple recipe. Try some other flavors real soon. There’s definitely a lot of exciting things that you can do with cupcakes once you have mastered the basic steps in baking them. Bake this one now and make your grandmother really proud.
I hope you enjoy making this recipe, its simple to do and a great activity to do with your kids ;-)
