Bonfire Toffee Ingredients

450 grams brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

115 grams golden syrup

125 milliliters hot water

115 grams black treacle
Procedure:
Get a pan with a heavy bottom and put the sugar and hot water in it. Use low heat and wait until sugar is fully dissolved. Do not stir. Tilt the pan instead. When sugar is dissolved, put in all the other ingredients. Stick in the sugar thermometer. Bring the mixture to a boil until it reads 270F or 140C on the thermometer. At which point, the bonfire toffee is ready. Turn off the heat. By now, you should already have the cupcake and its frosting with you. Put streaks of the bonfire toffee on top of the cupcake’s frosting, designing it in such a way it resembles a burning fire. Be careful as you do this for the toffee is very hot.
